A ‘Crêpier’ by trade and passion, Christian Faure started manufacturing plain crêpes on a production site he built in Brittany, France called Faure Ltd.

Christian creates the filled crêpe concept, individual wrapped. A successful idea is born and with it a leading brand name – Whaou!

Faure grows Whaou! In France and introduces more yummy flavours to the range

The innovative crunchy chocolate-filled crêpe is launched. Meanwhile, Gerard the Giraffe, the adorable brand mascot is born and makes his grand entrance!

Whaou! expands into the UK market under the name Whaoo!, whose mascot remains Gerard the giraffe. Whaoo’s new adventure is just beginning in the UK, launching Chocolate Filled Crepes.
